How does check splitting work for large party tables?
Select the table on the register screen and tap 'Split Check'. You can assign individual items to paying guests or split the bill total evenly.
Are take-out coffee sales automatically taxed at the reduced 7% rate?
Yes. Toggling the order mode to 'Take-Out' automatically applies the reduced 7% VAT rate required by German tax law.
Can I connect separate printers for the bar and kitchen?
Yes. Merkuron supports standard ESC/POS network printers and automatically routes item categories to their designated stations.
What happens if Wi-Fi disconnects during dinner service?
The register continues running locally in the browser PWA. All transactions are securely encrypted on-device and sync automatically upon reconnection.
Can waitstaff void items without manager authorization?
No. Voids and discounts require manager permissions. Waitstaff attempting unauthorized voids receive a 403 Forbidden error.
